Clinic details

The clinic will be held over 3 days with a mixture of teaching methods used:

  • Daily Theory classes – Anatomy and its applications
  • Daily Practical classes – Anatomy in movement
  • Daily physical exercises that mimic the equine experience
  • Daily Q&A

By the end of the clinic the students will have acquired knowledge and applicable skills in:

  • The difference between training a horse and educating a horse.
  • The anatomy of circles and straight lines.
  • How to teach a horse to circle with cognitive use of their limbs and anatomy.
  • AlignmentHORSE exercises that help horses understand and choose a more comfortable way to move and how to develop the muscles they need to be able to lighten the forehand and find suspension and cadence.
  • How to teach a horse to make straight lines in Alignment.

Each rider will receive a certificate of participation

The Unicorn Equestrian Centre

The clinic will be held at the Unicorn Equestrian Centre, Stow-On-The-Wold. The centre offers excellent teaching and accommodation facilities for attendees and their horses. Please visit their website for more information.

Tuesday 14th January 
Breakfast – starts 7am, hot service starts 8am
8.30am – clinic Day 1 start – registration, tea & coffee
09.00 – 10.30 Introduction and Theory Presentation (help yourself to Tea / Coffee)
10.30 – 12.30 Individual Lessons with AlignmentHORSE Theory and Q&A
13.00 – 14.00 Lunch
14.00 – 17.00 Individual Lessons (help yourself to Tea / Coffee)
17.30 – 18.30 Q&A / Further Explanation of Theory
19.00 – “Welcome Dinner”

Wednesday 15th January

Everyone needs to have left the Unicorn either by 7pm on night of 16th or by 10am on 17th.

Dogs are NOT permitted at the Unicorn Equestrian Trust.
